Teddy Cars to Grant $20,000 to Bronx Music Education

Teddy Cars, the huggable car dealer of Nissans and Volkswagens on Boston Road in the Bronx, is thrilled to announce the Teddy Cars Bronx Music Grant Program to provide $20,000 of funding to school and community music programs in the Bronx. The program is being coordinated in conjunction with thisistheBronX.

Beginning this month Teddy Cars will grant $20,000 to ten music education programs in the Bronx. The managers of the programs have indicated that the funding will be used for a range of enhancements including the purchase of instruments, teacher instruction, performance space infrastructure, digital technology, scholarships for students.

Teddy Cars and thisistheBronX will hold a press conference on Thursday, December 5 at 2:00pm at the Mosholu Montefiore Community Center, 3450 Dekalb Avenue, Bronx NY to officially announce the grants. Participants from each program will be there.

"Teddy Cars is committed to Bronx communities," said President and General Manager Julio Batista. "Music education is so important to the development and education of Bronx children and we want to do as much as we can to support them. We're incredibly proud to be engaging in this partnership with these wonderful institutions."

"With this incredibly generous gesture, Teddy Cars is reinforcing not only the opportunity Bronx children will have in music education, but also perpetuating what has been essential to Bronx life for generations."
